Marhaba min Lubnan

Dear family and friends,

I hope this message finds you well amid the never-ending turbulence across the globe. Matt, Amira, and I are holding up and, most importantly, are safe for now. Words fail me as this aggression persists with no end in sight. Death and destruction are everywhere, leaving lives shattered, yet somehow life goes on. The fear of escalation is palpable and deeply unnerving. I pray for the strength and resilience of the Lebanese people in the face of this relentless fury.

One of the families who had been staying with us has now moved on to stay with relatives in Syria. We still have a family of five with us, and their three children have returned to online schooling, which has been a positive step for their well-being.

Your generosity and kindness continue to make a tangible difference to those displaced and weary across Lebanon. Recently, through two NGOs we have personal connections with (details attached in the letter and video), we were able to purchase and distribute 450 blankets to displaced families. This has been a vital relief effort as the weather grows colder by the day. Thanks to your support, these blankets were distributed a couple of weeks ago, and as I write this, your generosity is helping keep people warm.

I am endlessly grateful for your compassion and support.

Salaam,

Jeanette
